When buying school supplies for 3rd grade, you will want to use this list. Your child will need the following items on hand throughout the 2006-2007 school year. ___1.Loose-leaf notebook paper-(Regular ruled) This paper is to be kept in a plain pocket folder in their desk for daily use. Keep a supply at home so they can refill their folders when they run out at school. ___2. 2 “ plain” pocket plastic folders (Do not put any names on these folders.) These folders should have no pictures, writing, or metal on them. No trapper keepers are allowed! ___3. 2 Kleenex-large (Not the kind with lotion, please.) ___4. Pencils (many, many)----- sharpened pencils for each day’s work. Pencils will not be sharpened except in the morning. Keep them in your desk at all times through the year. No mechanical pencils and no ink pens. ___5. Pencil sharpeners (small, plain, with cover) No novelty pencil sharpeners are allowed. ___6. Glue stick-large ___7. Colored pencils (8-12 pack) No colored pencils will be sharpened in my regular sharpener. Students will use their own sharpener. ___8. Crayons (8-10 pack) in a plastic zip-lock bag with name on bag. ___9. Pencil pouch (No pencil boxes will be allowed.) Name on pouch. ___10. Anti-bacterial hand gel (Large) ___11. Book bags (No rolling, suitcase handle style book bag will be allowed.) These book bags should be pliable enough so that they can be folded to fit into a small cubby. ___12. Ruler (inches one side, centimeters the other side.) ___13. Paper towels (1 roll) ___14. 2 Reams of copy paper. (Any color, 8.5 X 11, 20lb.wt.) ___15. Pictures of your child for Student of the Week board. (These can be from birth to present. Include family, pets, etc. I will return these at the end of the year.) ___16. Highlighters ___17. No flip-flops or open-toed shoes will be allowed. ___18. Bag of candy for treats ___19. Small dry erase marker ___20. Any size Ziploc bags |
