There are many timelines that can be found on the Revolutionary War.  Any encyclopedia should have a detailed chronological list of the events that led up to the war and a list of the battles of the war.  You need to be aware that some sources may disagree on exact dates. 

  If your newspaper is to be historically accurate, you must only write about events that occurred prior to the date of your newspaper.  For example, if your newspaper is dated July 1776, you can write about Paul Revere's ride, but you can't report that Paul Revere died in 1792 because he is not dead at the time your newspaper was written?  Get  it??
