Requirements

An MGRP is a creative way to do research. To begin, you will need to do some planning, including doing some research to choose a decade of the modern period that interests you and an writer of that same decade whose work represents the era.

Most Modernist and Post-Modernist authors and poets wrote for several decades, but they have works set in these decades, so that part isn't as hard as it seems. You can decide based on your historical interests or on your literary interests. That's up to you.

To begin the process, you need to plan. Go to the planning page to help you focus your ideas and choose a decade. Then you're ready to start your research.

Everyone in the class must complete several activities for his/her decade. The first activities will enable you to gather information and relate what you learn to your classmates and teacher. The cumulative genres and presentation will use your own creative talents to summarize all you have learned in a unique and personal way.

Learning can be fun. Therefore, your first task is to enjoy yourself. Let your imagination flow freely as you explore the information in the quest. You are going back, back, back in time...

Your activities for this project are:
