What Is an MGRP?

A Multi-Genre Research Project lets you use creative projects to present information to your audience. It allows you to choose a historical decade of the twentieth century and explore it in detail. When you finish, you should have a good understanding of the social, political, cultural, historical, and artistic elements that influenced on of the writers of your period.

The final MGRP will involve both writing and research in a range of genres, some assigned and some chosen by you. The decade you choose, the subjects you explore within the decade, and the form of seven of the genres you choose are up to you. When you finish, you will have:

bulletan MGRP introduction packet
bulleta journal that presents the era
bulleta genre dealing with the slang of the decade
bulleta research paper that presents a major writer and literary work of the decade
bulletfour other genres about the period, writer, and/or work
bulleta self-evaluation

When you finish, you will present your MGRP to the class.

Good Luck!
