You are the person who is responsible for seeing that all work is completed in this task.  You must be able to work well with the rest of your "staff" in order to be successful.  Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1.  You will be writing and creating stories along with the rest of your staff, but you must be able to see the "bigger picture."  What will your newspaper look like?  What will be your color scheme?  Which pictures will you use to compliment your newspaper?  These are the types of questions you have to pose to yourself and to your staff.  While you should try to come to a group consensus, remember that you are there to guide.  You also have to make sure that the ads and articles all have a similar "voice" and fit with the time period we are studying.

2.  Assist the staff with deciding who will be responsible for what articles/ads, etc.  A story list will be due to Mrs. McIntosh after our first day in the lab.  You, and you alone, are responsible for completing this list and making sure that it is accurate.

3.  Proofread everything that will be put into the final product after both the research editor and the layout editor have proofed the text.
