Task 1.

MEET ERIC CARLE

About Eric Carle

Click on the picture of Eric Carle to find the titles of Eric Carle's 6 fiction books about insects. List the titles on a piece of paper and then locate the books in the media center. You can find them in the Easy"C" house.

                       

Task 2.

Choose the insect that you want to research. Each person in the group should choose a different insect. Read the book that is about your insect. Your task will be to find what is REAL and what is NOT REAL based on the book and your research. For example, if your task is to find fact and fiction about the butterfly, then read, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and click on the butterfly below for research information.

Task 4:

 

Click on the pretty pink and red butterfly to print a Venn Diagram.       On your Venn Diagram list real (Nonfiction) and not real (Fiction) things you have discovered about your insect.  Draw a picture of your insect on the back of the paper. Give the completed diagram to your teacher. Task 5:  Click on the boy below to find other activities to help you learn about your insect.
