Storyteller
*Follow
the directions below to form a CREATIVE presentation of your group's folktale.
1. Meet with the technopro in
your group. Together, create a simple flowchart of events in order
of their occurance. Limit the sequence of events to the TEN most
important.
2. Pretend you are writing a children's book that simplifies
the story. With this in mind, come up with simple text for a ten-page
book.
3. Break away from the technopro.
4. Using the simple text in #2, pretend you are truly presenting
this story to an inquisitive child. Come up with varied ways of keeping
the child's interest. Click
here to find an informative website on storytelling techniques.
5. For your group's story, try to change voices, add hand
gestures, use props, develop a costume, etc. Be prepared to present
your creative interpretation of the group's story to the class in synch
with the technopro's PowerPoint presentation. You will be graded
on story content as well as CREATIVITY in presenting the story.
